Free AI stem separation online — split any song

Stem separation takes a finished song and splits it back into its building blocks. VocaLoft uses AI to separate a track into vocals, bass, drums and melody, so you can solo a part, drop an instrument, or build something new — entirely in the browser.

What is stem separation?

A normal audio file is one mixed-down stereo track. Stem separation reverses that: AI listens to the mix and reconstructs each instrument as its own track (a "stem"). Once separated, every stem has its own volume and mute, so the song becomes fully interactive.

How to split a song into stems

  1. Paste a YouTube link or upload a file into VocaLoft.
  2. AI separation runs automatically and returns four stems.
  3. Toggle and balance each stem — mute, solo or lower the volume.
  4. Export or save the mix you build.

What you can do with stems

For teachers: isolate the melody or mute a part so students can play along — VocaLoft for teachers & studios.
